Stephen Germer

Stephen Germer is a singer/songwriter in Austin Texas.  He is also an Emmy -winning executive producer, Founder of Balcones Texas Whisky, and a man with a sever fly-fishing habit. But most importantly, he is a husband and father, which he considers his greatest achievement by far. 

After picking up the guitar at age 10, he never really put it down, going on to play in college bands while studying the art of songwriting. He has most recently performed in wineries and establishments in the Texas Hill Country.

His earliest musical influences were diverse:  troubadours such as Gordon Lightfoot and Dan Folgleberg, to the great harmonizing bands like America,  Pure Praire Leage and Crosby, Stills and Nash, to the founders of the great Texas Progressive Country Scare of the 70's, and the vast musicianship and storytelling of Rush.

When he is not songwriting or spending family time,  he is in a river somewhere...canoeing, kayaking, fishing...or actively trying to get there as soon as possible.
